Oatmeal Cookies

         古巴的蔗糖,粒粒晶莹透澈,犹如宝石。爱吃甜食的人难以抵挡这一“诱惑”,捏上一小撮,
         放进嘴里嚼嚼品品,还真清新爽口。

         度假回来后,一直在寻找心目中的蔗糖,终于在一不起眼的货架上发现了它。

         试着拿它来做点心,将原配方中的 Light Brown Sugar 改为 Demerara Brown Sugar,
         多些糖浆味;又将 Dried Cranberries 换成蜜汁 Dried Tomato, 多份嚼头(Chewy)。

 

 端上刚出炉的麦片糕点,先尝为快。
爽脆的口感、喷香的滋味、真是么话讲喔。
烤成略焦黄(左),糖浆味更是甘醇浓郁,回味绵长。。。

              这款点心,除有高能量的巧克力、多维的干果、心目中的蔗糖(中),最主要的成分是麦片,
           由于富含纤维,能量释放缓慢而又均衡,可使人体血糖水平一直维持在较高水平,因而不会
           很快感饥饿且精神饱满,早餐首选。

       Oatmeal Cookies
     
      3/4 cup butter, at room temperature
      3/4 cup Demerara  Brown Sugar
      1/2 cup granulated sugar
      1 large egg
      2 tbsp water
      2 tsp vanilla extract
      1/2 cup all-purpose flour
      1/4 cup whole-wheat flour
      1/4 tsp salt
      1 tsp baking powder
      3 cups rolled oats
      3/4 cup each: raisins, dried cranberries
      3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

      Preheat oven to 350F.

      Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

      Cream butter and sugars in standing electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, water

      and vanilla; beat until combined.

      In bowl, whisk together flours, salt,baking powder. Add to creamed mixture; mix until

      combined. Add rolled oats, raisins, cranberries and chocolate chips. Using wooden spoon,

      stir until combined.

      Drop mixture using ice cream scoop or tablespoon on to prepared cookie sheet; flatten

      each cookies with spatula. Back it on middle shelf of oven 12~15minutes or until a rich

      brown color.

     her family …
